Top 10 CDN Providers to Speed Up Your Website [Infographic]

Why You Need It

Everything has to be visual today as people’s attention span has dropped significantly in the last couple years. You want to include images, videos, and Javascript to your website and blog to help illustrate content on your site and to help convey your messages. However, all of these can slow down the load time of your web pages. A Content Delivery Network (CDN) helps your website load faster. A CDN company usually uses multiple servers around the world to help support and deliver content to visitors from different parts of the world because the closer the server is the faster a page loads). A CDN provider will help to make your site load faster, therefore alleviates a lot of bandwidth pressure on your hosting server, especially for heavy traffic websites.

Below are the top 10 CDN providers that I have had various level of experience with.

Cool! This is definitely a helpful guide for those who are not familiar with the CDN providers. Your list of providers are all options to look into for accelerating smaller static websites, as they all provide caching services. However, most of them do not offer a whole site acceleration solution… meaning, they are not capable of speeding up the delivery of dynamic objects (games, applications, trading stats etc..) or offer integrated services such as DNS, security, SSL etc..

It would also be helpful if there was a similar infographic for major enterprise CDNs such as Akamai, CDNetworks, Level3 etc… Providers that have a broader global reach and can accelerate more than just static website elements.
